Golden Gate Claude was a temporary Anthropic research demonstration released on May 23, 2024. Researchers found an interpretable feature in Claude 3 Sonnet associated with the Golden Gate Bridge, then increased its activation. The modified model brought the bridge into unrelated answers and sometimes described itself as the bridge.

Use this tag when an image directly references the experiment, Claude's bridge fixation, or a bridge-shaped Claude. Do not use it for an ordinary Claude image that merely includes San Francisco or a bridge.
